For over a decade, Diversity in Action has been a digital and print publication dedicated to showcasing innovation and forward-thinking individuals across science, technology, engineering, the arts and math (STEAM). We celebrate diversity in all its forms—diversity of thought, experience, background and perspective—highlighting the changemakers driving progress in their fields. We tell the stories of individuals and organizations that push boundaries, navigate adversity and turn obstacles into opportunities. By sharing these journeys, we highlight our shared human experience—one of resilience, creativity and collaboration—proving that when people from different backgrounds work together, they drive meaningful change. Through six bimonthly issues and a fall special, Diversity in Action features students, professionals, corporations, universities and nonprofits that are shaping the future of STEAM. We provide a platform for visionaries in fields such as data science, health care, electrical engineering, artificial intelligence and the arts—including filmmakers, storytellers and creators who use their craft to inspire, inform and drive cultural and technological progress.
