Hello everyone! My name is Akshay Patel and I hail from India. Journalism is not something I figured I would end up in considering I started my career as a Marketing professional, but two years later, I find myself writing about the one thing that I have loved since I was a child: Gaming. The Gaming Industry is not that big in India, especially in the media sector, but it surely has potential. I started my video games journalism journey with Essentiallysports.com, where i managed the Gaming and Esports division, leading a team of 8 writers. From there, moved to IGN India as the Associate Editor. Somewhere, I always missed writing and managerial roles didn't let me write much, so I decided to take a different route and become a freelance writer. Currently, I am writing for The Gamer and am open to explore any other freelance opportunities.
