Alex Sosler (Ed.D.) is Assistant Professor of Bible and Ministry at Montreat College near Asheville, NC, where he teaches practical theology, education, and issues related to church and culture.. His dissertation was on the teleological priorities of Christian Higher Education. His academic writing has been featured in Christian Scholars Review, religions, Religious Education, Pro Rege, and Journal of Applied Christian Leadership. His popular writing has appeared on the online pages of Fathom Magazine, Christ and Pop Culture, Mockingbird, Front Porch Republic, Fare Forward, and Gospel-Centered Discipleship. He is author of Learning to Love: Christian Higher Education as Pilgrimage and Wholeness and Holiness, editor of Theology and the Avett Brothers, and co-writer of Sacramental Imagination: Connecting Spiritual Vision with Artistic Practice. Dr. Sosler has also written several chapters in a series on theology and popular culture.
