Biography

Throughout her career, Dansby has served as managing editor of many publications, including consumer and trade magazines as well as two cookbooks. She has also written numerous articles on lifestyle topics, such as travel, culture, food and art, for media like BBC.com and the Toronto Star. Dansby was European features correspondent for ART + DESIGN magazine and now is a regular contributor to The Brussels Times Magazine. She has received several awards for her writing, most recently, first place in the 2022 M.F.K. Fisher Prize by Les Dames d’Escoffier International for her BBC.com story “Europe’s 500-Year-Old Seafood Tradition.” Dansby received a B.A. degree in English from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, USA. She studied for a semester in Paris, France, at the Ecole Françoise des Attaches de Presse while working at France Soir Ouest, a regional supplement to the national daily newspaper France Soir. She has also done graduate work in communications and business as well as studied humanity and cultures on every continent.
