Anna Heflin seeks to understand and explore music as voraciously as possible as a writer, composer and violist. Thinking of herself as more of a musical investigator than a critic, Heflin is interested in engaging in conversations with Pulitzer Prize-winning artists, popular artists and emerging experimentalists alike and sharing her findings with audiences through writing. Heflin aims to stay continually curious and share this sense of wonder with readers. Heflin holds a BM from University of California, Santa Barbara and a MM from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is based in Brooklyn.
