Writer - Editor - Cultural Critic My book, Their Own Best Creations: Women Writers in Postwar Television (January 2022) is the first volume in the University of California Press’ new Feminist Media Histories series. Read my criticism and scholarship in the Washington Post, Ms., Feminist Media Histories, Literary Hub, and Public Books. I edit for the Film/TV section of the Los Angeles Review of Books (see Editing) and have 10+ years experience teaching at the college level, curating film events, and organizing symposia. I earned my PhD in American Studies and Film & Media Studies at Yale University in 2016 and was assistant professor of film at Hollins University from 2016-2019.
