Biography

I am an established journalist with experience as a full-time and freelance reporter in online, radio, television and print news. I currently work as a television journalist with WIN News Canberra. Prior to this role, I worked as a radio journalist and presenter for Capital Radio Network in Canberra and Goulburn for more than a year and as a digital journalist for the Sunshine Coast Daily in Queensland for six months. Before working as a full-time reporter, I regularly filed stories as a freelancer for The Lead South Australia, The Adelaide Review and Broadsheet as well as had articles published for CityMag, The Upsider, The Diplomat and other publications. I began my career in community radio early into my university degree, where I worked as a news presenter and deputy news director for the station's breakfast and drive properties, as well as a radio journalist for its current affairs program. Additionally, I have undertaken internships with the commercial television newsrooms in Adelaide, where I was able to obtain hands-on experience from creating my own news packages to presenting to camera using auto cue in a controlled, off-air studio environment. Journalism is a field that I am very passionate about and believe strongly in the important role news and storytelling plays in keeping people informed about issues and developments affecting communities big and small, understanding the human condition in its myriad forms, and holding those in power to account.
