Aparna Ganesan is an independent journalist and documentary filmmaker from Chennai, India with five years of experience. She’s now working on an Indian-Pakistan cross-border documentary under the East-West-Centre’s guidance and investigative story under the 2024 GRID Arendal Grant. Aparna’s documentary ‘Ennore: Living in Ashes’ received a special mention under Social Impact Journalism at the 2021 ACJ Journalism Awards. She is also the recipient of two 2022 Telly Awards for directing the documentary ‘Operation Possible: The Cooling Cart.’ Aparna has a PG Diploma in Journalism from Asian College of Journalism and a B.E in Computer Science from Anna University in India.
