Biography

Journalist with the Press Trust of India (PTI) based in Delhi and author of first-of-its-kind book on Indian bureaucracy titled as 'Decoding Indian Babudom’. I am a strong proponent of peace journalism. I write on Indian government's policy matters, governance, bureaucracy, politics, anti-corruption, black money, tax evasion and wildlife issues among other. I extensively use the Right to Information (RTI) Act, an Indian law that allows citizens to seek time bound information from government departments on governance matters, in journalism. Stories done on the basis of information obtained through RTI applications have been raised in Indian Parliament. I also do programs on the country's national radio -- All India Radio (AIR) -- on contemporary issues. Have travelled widely within the country and outside the country with Presidents and Vice President of the country, and also due to professional engagements and my love for travelling. I am an alumnus of the US based East West Center and fellow of Asia Journalism Fellowship (AJF), conducted by the Institute of Policy Studies, National University of Singapore (NUS).
