Aye Min Thant is a Burmese-American journalist who joined the Frontier Myanmar team as a features editor in 2021. Before joining Frontier, Aye led a team that worked to combat disinformation and hate speech in Myanmar's digital spaces at Phandeeyar, a tech focused Myanmar NGO.They have written for outlets such as the New York Times, the Economist, and New Naratif. Aye worked as a reporter for Reuters from 2018 to 2019, and won a Pulitzer Prize as part of the Reuters team covering the Rohingya crisis and its aftermath. They have B.A's in gender studies and anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an M.A in Asian Studies from Cornell University.
