Anti-Defamation League
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is a nonprofit organization based in the U.S., founded in 1913 to combat antisemitism and promote justice for all. With a mission to stop the defamation of the Jewish people, ADL addresses issues of hate, discrimination, and extremism. It has evolved from its early focus on antisemitic stereotypes to a broader commitment to civil rights and social justice. ADL offers a range of services, including legal advocacy for victims of hate, initiatives to combat online hate through its Center for Technology & Society, and educational outreach programs that provide anti-bias training and Holocaust education. The organization also engages communities through events like the Social Cohesion Summit and collaborates with athletes to promote inclusivity in sports. With 31 regional offices in the U.S. and international representation, ADL works to address antisemitism and extremism globally, relying on donations and grants to support its mission.
