BACKGROUND Rogers was one of the youngest reporters in the Northeast, beginning while in high school, a month shy of her 16th birthday with a byline at a local Eastern Mass. news outlet, The Advocate. An editor at a regional news outlet, The NB Standard Times asked her to write for them a few months later. She worked as a frrelance reporter for both papers throughout her remaining high school years. After graduation, she wrote for the Detroit Free Press (formerly USA Today, and now owned by Gannett) and contributed to magazines, trade journals, and corporate publications of all kinds. She became the editor of a quarterly national news publication at a Boston-based humane society (PHARM), where she was a regular contributor while attending film school in Boston. She later became an arthouse film critic and host of her cable television show REEL TIME at WCAT, also in Massachusetts. Rogers became the youngest eLearning manager to work for a public utility, Boston Edison (now Eversource) at the age of 24, and at 26 becoming a keynote speaker at L&D industry conferences in the Northeast U.S. Shortly after she founded and directed a consulting business for more than a decade before returning to journalism and public relations. When not writing for Newsbreak or Rock n' Heavy, she's writing press releases for clients. In her spare time, she enjoys improving her German language skills and publishing fiction and nonfiction books. EDUCATION Rogers earned degrees in CompSci and Multimedia Management, and is certified in TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) for business. WORKING ON . . . an unauthorized biography about the late, great rocker Brian Howe and his controversial, decade-long run as the frontman for the band Bad Company (1984-1994).
