Biography

I am currently a full-time Staff Writer for the Ashe Post & Times, which is the newspaper of record for Ashe County, North Carolina. I have always had a love for the written word and storytelling. After graduating high school, I attended Wilkes Community College and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree. I then transferred to Appalachian State University where I graduated with a B.S. in Journalism/Communications and a minor in General Business. In addition to my job as a reporter, I have a second job at a local grocery store where I have worked for the past 6 years. In addition to strong writing and communication skills, I also possess strong leadership and customer services skills due to my second job as a bookkeeper at a grocery store.
