Biography

Ben is an award-winning strategy, communications, design, and thought leadership executive with more than fifteen years of experience across global associations, corporations, agencies, and nonprofits. Since 2019, he has served as managing director for AFIRE (Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate) and editor-in-chief of Summit Journal, the official publication of AFIRE. Previously, he has overseen communications for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill; World Business Chicago; and other organizations and agencies. From 2018 to 2023, he was an adjunct professor of communications at Northeastern Illinois University. And from 2011 to 2015, he was the publisher and founder of Anobium, a boutique literary publishing outfit. Ben is also an active independent writer, editor, researcher, and designer and specializes in creating, overseeing, and transforming global communications programs across multiple domains, including foreign investment, economic development, commercial real estate, urban planning, architecture, sustainability, philosophy, and technology.
