Before the age of 11 I had relatively little to do with dogs. I was promised a horse if I won a scholarship, but we couldn't afford a horse, so I picked a dog - a Bearded Collie. She changed the course of my life. Fell into being a dog journalist if there is such a thing. Our Dogs, Dog World, Terrier World, Kennel Gazette, The Kennel Club, Dog column for 8 years in the Mail on Sunday, editor of Dogs Today magazine for 30 plus years and now CDO of tech start up Tailwise.com. Love doing TV and radio and writing screenplays about amazing dogs and how they change people's lives. Patron of Stolen and Missing Pets Alliance, constantly campaigning for the dog to be treated as family not commodity. Saved my magazine from being closed, twice. Campaigned to end puppy farming all my life, think I'm finally getting somewhere!
