Biography

Freelance writer Bill Meredith started writing the local music column in the TGIF section in April of 2001, and added a career as a sports writer beginning in December of 2006. He also writes for the international music magazines JazzTimes and Jazziz, and started a career as a musician as well as a journalist in the mid-1980s. In various bands, from South Florida north to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, he's opened for B.B. King, Don Henley, Bonnie Raitt, Queen Latifah, Johnny Winter, Warren Hill, Firefall, the Outlaws, and Ani DiFranco.
