I have been a journalist in the UAE for 22 years, bringing with me a wealth of experience with my time at some of the top media houses in the country. In my latest role as the Entertainment and Lifestyle Editor with Gulf News, a leading English-language daily in the UAE, I have been responsible for running a team, planning daily editorial content, brainstorming story and feature ideas, planning analytical pieces, editing and proof-reading copy, guiding team members in how to approach a feature - as needed - and working under tight deadlines as part of a daily news structure. My previous experience in the field of journalism includes working at Dubai Media Incorporated’s digital platform, Emirates 24|7 and Dubai Post, along with working on several English dailies in the UAE, including Khaleej Times and Emirates Today. I have also worked as the editor for Good Living magazine in Dubai, which was a wellness and lifestyle monthly publication that specialized in travel features. My past editorial positions have also covered the aviation, hospitality and tourism sectors, along with basic news reporting, business features and lifestyle content.
