The Connection, Inc. is a nonprofit human services organization based in Connecticut, established in 1972. It is dedicated to building safe and healthy communities by addressing challenges such as homelessness, mental health, substance use, and criminal justice rehabilitation. The organization serves over 8,000 individuals annually across 65 residential and outpatient sites in cities including New Haven, Hartford, Middletown, and Bridgeport. The Connection offers a range of services, including behavioral health treatment, supportive housing for those experiencing homelessness, and community justice programs for individuals involved in the justice system. It also provides specialized support for women and children, as well as professional development and training through its Institute for Innovative Practice.
