Biography
Brandi Scardilli started her journalism career as a reporter for the N.J. Courier-Post teen section, St@tic. She attended Rutgers University, where she earned a B.A. in history and German in 2008 and an M.A. in American history in 2010. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 2008. Scardilli presented her thesis, “Love, Luck, and Lollipops: Children’s Television Programming in Philadelphia, 1948-1969,” at the Mid-Atlantic Popular American Culture Association in 2010 and in 2013. In 2012, she co-wrote the entry on children’s television in The Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia. Information Today, Inc. (ITI) hired her in 2011 as the editorial assistant in the books department. She became managing editor of the company’s flagship newsmagazine, Information Today (IT), in 2013, and editor of ITI NewsBreaks, IT’s online component, in 2014. Scardilli was promoted to editor of IT in October 2016.
