Carolyne Zinko is a trusted Bay Area journalist with more than 30 years’ experience in writing and editing for newspapers and magazines. For 22 years at the San Francisco Chronicle, she wrote city government, politics, philanthropy and lifestyle stories and initiated an investigation into a fraudulent fashion charity that led to an investigation by the California Attorney General’s office. From 2018 to 2020, she served as editor in chief of Modern Luxury Silicon Valley magazine, where she managed teams, wrote cover stories about larger-than-life figures, and conceptualized signature events for the magazine and its trusted community partners. She now contributes to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Nob Hill Gazette, Haute Living San Francisco, and is a writer and special projects editor at Alphy, a tech platform for advancing women.
