I’m a freelance journalist currently living in Lincoln, Nebraska. I've published features work in The New York Times, Salon, National Geographic, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, CMJ, Orion, Truthout, Essay Daily, Silicon Prairie News, the Omaha World Herald, the Lincoln Journal Star, the Wilmington Star News and other publications. I've published fiction in The Saturday Evening Post, Midwestern Gothic and Bluestem Magazine. I also formerly served as the nonfiction editor of Ecotone at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
