Biography

C. S. Hadebe is a South African writer, speculative storyteller, essayist, critic, social commentator, and editor born and based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. His written works have made the longlist for the SA Writers' College Short Story Competition, and he has also received an Honorable Mention in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest and 2017 In Focus Contest. The Shallow Tales Review named his contribution on Issue 38 (June 2022) as the Best Essay of their inaugural Best of a Shallow Year selection. He has either written or edited a host of works that have appeared in various publications such as The Shallow Tales Review, Kalahari Review, oranges journal, Salamander Ink, Moziak Magazine, Batswadi Magazine, Texx and the City, and elsewhere. Additionally, his works have also been anthologised in The James Currey Anthology Vol. 1 and The In Focus 2017 Anthology, published in the UK and Canada, respectively.
