Currently Chief Editorial Translator, I manage a team of editorial translators, journalists, and editors fighting mis/disinformation in French, English, Afaan Oromo, Amharic, Swahili, and Tigrinya, I cover projects from 16 countries. Previously Senior Copy Editor, a bilingual journalist/writer (French/ English), of Code for Africa’s PesaCheck covering 14+ countries from Anglophone East African countries to Francophone West Africa and the Sahel. I have a huge experience in writing/covering matters touching Burundi, Mali, Cameroon, the Central African Republic (CAR), Niger, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Senegal, Tanzania, Rwanda, Madagascar, Senegal, and DRC. I am a published fiction book author who won a prize from the University of Burundi.
