Chad O’Carroll is the founder and chief correspondent of NK News and NK Pro, two specialist portals focused exclusively on gathering and analyzing information from inside/around North Korea. The company has 20 full-time staff and a wide range of well-known contributors, and serves hundreds of foreign ministries, intelligence gathering organizations, military units, academic organizations, and think tanks worldwide. O'Carroll was a 2015 fellow of the Tow Knight Program for Entrepreneurial Journalism at City University, New York. Prior to setting up NK News, O'Carroll worked in a series of think-tank jobs in Washington, DC, worked at the UN's Office for Disarmament Affairs, and studied an MA in nuclear non-proliferation and international security at Kings College London in 2008.
