Biography
Born in 1970 and hailing from Livingston, New Jersey, Chris Gialanella began his successful career with an internship for his local congressman on Capitol Hill after attending University of Wisconsin - Madison. Following his internship, Chris moved to New York City where he worked for PiMS, a company that distributes marketing materials for PR and advertising firms. In 1994, he transferred to work at the company’s Los Angeles office. In 2001, he discovered his passion for the publishing industry when he began working for Modern Luxury where he spent 23 years leading such titles as Riviera Orange County, Riviera San Diego, Angeleno and LA Confidential. In the spring of 2023, Chris took the helm as President and Publisher of Los Angeles and its sister publications Orange Coast and Pasadena. He is currently guiding these beloved media brands to new levels of success with innovative programs across print, digital, social media, experiential marketing, video, and podcast channels.
