I was born in El Paso, Texas, on April 25, 1969. I graduated from Spring Hill High School in Longview, Texas (1987), Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas (1992), and Stephen F. Austin State University (1994) in Nacogdoches, Texas, before embarking on a career in journalism. I have spent more than 20 years as a sports writer. I worked for Academic Partnerships as a content writer most recently. I have written for newspapers, magazines, websites and have penned a novella. I married Betsy McMillian in 2003 in Las Vegas. We live in Buda, Texas.
