I am an ambitious reporter and recent graduate of the University of Missouri journalism school with degrees in journalism and history. Wielding data, visualization, records requests and meaningful human inquiry, I tell stories that deconstruct systemic issues and explore solutions. In large cities and smaller localities, I’ve balanced the fast-paced clockwork of daily news and the slow burn of long-term, award-winning enterprise stories on city government, public health, housing and prisons. Previously, I worked as an investigative intern for the Jefferson City News Tribune, an assistant city editor for the Columbia Missourian, an equity reporter for the Columbia Missourian and a housing development reporter at Street Sense Media in Washington D.C.
