Biography

Clive is now Group Editor of AV Magazine (50 years young in 2022), and Electronics Weekly (which celebrated 60 years of publishing in 2020). A seasoned conference moderator, Clive is a former Editor of Which Computer? He launched and fronted the first business tv service for the IT and telecomms industry – The Computer Channel. He’s also enjoyed an extensive Fleet Street career writing, most notably, for The Times, The Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph, Sunday Business (and The Wall Street Journal). He is also an award-winning journalist who brings with him 40+ years of publishing experience, including stints working on EU Research Framework Programmes for Research and Technical Development (RTD - FP5, FP6, + SME TechWeb), and four years with EPSRC and Diamond Light Source. Clive is well known for hosting AV Magazine's AV Awards + Electronics Weekly's Elektra Awards, and for being Chairman of AV Magazine's Executive Roundtable discussions, the AVTV Industry + End-User Panels, Talking Point C-suite interview sessions, and AV Magazine’s ‘Making Waves’ podcast. Clive also won the award for Best Webinar at the WorkCast Awards 2021.
