Biography

Daanish Bin Nabi has a Masters of Arts Degree in International Relation Peace and Conflict Studies from Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, State of Jammu and Kashmir. His area of interests are South Asia and Middle East; subsequently, he also researched (submitted thesis) on the ‘Partition of Indian Subcontinent’. Since then, he has been a veracious reader and correspondent of South Asian politics, diplomacy, ethnicity, economy, defense and security; especially of Pakistan and Indian states. Mr. Nabi jumped into field of Journalism in 2012. He was associated with a leading newspaper of State of Jammu and Kashmir ‘The Rising Kashmir’ as an Opinion and Online Editor for near six years. He was also formerly associated with Greater Kashmir Newspaper as Copy Editor. Besides, being part of the two leading newspaper of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, he has been published by various online and print news portals internationally and nationally. Some of his bylines have appeared in the following: Solvenian Radio; Hindustan Times; Voice of America (VOA); News Central 24/7; Quint; Newslaundary; Youth Ki Aawaz, Sbcltr; The Wire; National Herald; DailyO; Al Jazeera; News18.com; and Newsclick. Besides print media, he is also a regular Television presenter and has done various programs ranging from politics, diplomacy, security, foreign affairs; and from education to health with the renowned defense analysts, diplomats, politicians, musicians, and civil society members.
