Magazine Features, Special Sections, Curated Content, Copywriting — Writing encompasses so much these days. Omaha Magazine's managing editor for several years. Creator of Content Studios Omaha, which produces books and curated content for a diverse clientele as a part of Omaha Publications. Broadway stars, Grammy-award nominated drummers, and Booker-prize nominated writers are just a few of the personalities I have interviewed over my career. University of Iowa-educated and adept at writing feature stories, hard news and book content. My focus is writing community-minded articles that inform people about their friends and neighbors. Writing features for magazines and newspapers allows me to bring stories to the forefront of people's minds that they may not otherwise know, such as that of a young man whose life was changed in the blink of an eye by a traumatic brain injury. Writing articles for special sections allows me to give people more information than they would from an advertisement. These feature events, products and/or services. The heart of journalism, and me, is helping others by telling their stories.
