Damilola Fajinmi, is a multimedia journalist, gender champion and media trainer who loves to harness the power of local languages to amplify unheard voices and spark social change in Nigeria. As a broadcast veteran at Naija 102.7 FM Ibadan interested in Public Health, her impactful reporting has demonstrably improved health outcomes. Damilola is a Nuffic 2024 OKP scholar at the Radio Netherlands training center, a pioneer Fellow of the MTN Media Innovation program at the School of Media and Communications (SMC) Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) and a Dataphyte Gender Mainstreaming Fellow. Her expertise extends to media training, guiding individuals and organisations towards impactful communication. In addition to reporting, Damilola empowers the next generation through her dynamic training programs. She has equipped over 200 young minds with critical thinking skills and media literacy. Damilola's dedication has been lauded by numerous awards, including the prestigious Media Plan Compliance award and recognition as a Girl's Rights Champion in 2023. When not empowering communities or inspiring young minds, Damilola volunteers at a local literacy program, cherishing the power of stories to build a better future.
