Biography
I am majoring in journalism and telecommunications with a news concentration and minoring in American Sign Language and Sports Studies at Ball State University. I have been a Dean's List student three of my four semesters at Ball State. I am the youngest of six kids and grew up in a highly athletic family. Falling in love with sports was easy, but continuing my athletic career quickly became a challenge. After playing my final games as a Goalkeeper (Soccer) and Kicker/Punter (Football), I decided to pair my love of writing with a lifelong passion for sports. When I leave the world of words, I am an avid Star Wars and Marvel fanatic, an Arsenal FC and Detroit sports supporter, and prefer camping and backpacking as my vacations. My love of journalism comes from a passion to tell the stories of others. While I have built a foundation in sports journalism, I look for opportunities to tell stories wherever I can. Now, I am looking to branch my journalistic skills into non-sports areas to add depth to my storytelling. Through the world that I have entered as a journalist, I have met some of the most amazing people to walk this earth, built lasting relationships and found a true love and fiery passion for this profession. I am excited and open to any and all opportunities to further my development in this field.
