Projects have included advertising and direct mail copywriting, sales collateral writing and design, dealer training materials and promotional events and campaigns. In 2018 he received US Patent 10,152,902 and Japan Patent Office utility model registration 3202605 for the innovation behind UpRight Cards™ promotional products, www.UprightCards.com, which enables personality-driven companies to leverage their brand mascots, executive caricatures and other images. His comments and research findings have been quoted in Businessweek, Forbes, U.S. News & World Report and Crane's New York Business as well as in various local media. He serves on the board of directors of Friendly Water for the World, an Olympia-based non-governmental organization that provides life-sustaining technologies to small communities in third-world countries, and Valley View Health Center, a federally qualified health center with 13 clinics in Thurston, Lewis and Grays Harbor Counties.
