Biography

I'm a journalist, producer, and community engagement storyteller with a passion for elevating underrepresented voices and fostering trust between newsrooms and the communities they serve. Currently, I serve as a Community Listening Ambassador for Capital B Atlanta, where I gather insights directly from residents to help shape local reporting that truly reflects community needs. Previously, I was a Community Engagement Producer at WFAE 90.7, where I connected reporters with grassroots leaders, produced public events that sparked dialogue, and helped create space for authentic community narratives. From 2020 to 2023, I was a Report for America Corps member, reporting with empathy and purpose for local publications including QCityMetro and CharlotteFive. My reporting is always fact-driven, people-centered, and rooted in the belief that journalism should serve the public good. My work spans digital, audio, and community-based storytelling, and I’m deeply invested in building more equitable and inclusive newsrooms. I’m a proud graduate of the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where I earned my bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communications. Always looking to collaborate on projects that empower communities and reimagine what journalism can look like.
