Started my writing career with Heavy.com after the editor-in-chief noticed one of the weekly film and TV blogs I wrote for free on a rinky-dink site I forget the name of. After an internship there, I became a staff writer for two years or so. Later, Heavy's deputy editor became a contributing writer at Uproxx. Unbeknownst to me, he put in a good word there. They asked if I'd freelance for them. I did. A short time after, I wrote a piece about Mickey Rourke's fairytale comeback to Hollywood's main stage. It went viral and received a ton of praise. A week after publishing it, Uproxx's editor-in-chief called me and asked if I'd be a staff writer. I jumped at the opportunity. I wrote over 850 pieces for Uproxx over two years, becoming a senior features writer, pulling in millions of page views a month, sometimes a week, for my long-form film, TV, and true crime pieces. I had a blast. I also went on to write for Fansided and Paste. Most recently, I worked as an interim editor-in-chief at FM Hip Hop.
