Biography

I am currently working freelance for a mix of national and international media outlets, PR firms and public bodies, providing broad-spectrum support in journalism and communications. My current focus includes science communication, heritage and jazz. I also copy edit books and journals for academic publishing houses; I've helped produce three full-length works and multiple scholarly articles, to date. I worked for eight years at Regional Media Ltd, an independent newsgroup covering Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster in South Yorkshire. There I took a very active role in reporting Rotherham's CSE scandal. I also reported on everything from entertainment to crime news, but am developing audiovisual content as a specialism. I wrote, recorded, edited and produced weekly webcast Sneak Peek; a novel idea well received both within and outside the company, being "highly commended" by judges at the O2 Media Awards 2013.
