Biography
While I have been writing since 2011, writing for outlets like the now defunct One Hit Pixel and the thankfully still going TheSixthAxis, my career in journalism didn't really start until the end of 2018 when I began writing freelance. My first paid for published piece was on the sadly now gone Kotaku UK about videogame addiction and my experience with World of Warcraft. Two more freelance reviews were then commissioned for Tech Raptor before I landed the Guides Writer role at Rock, Paper, Shotgun (RPS) in May 2018. At RPS, I wrote almost exclusively about guides, but occasionally had a hand with the regular Have You Played? feature, and one review. Games I covered for guides include Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Doom Eternal, and Monster Hunter: World (including Iceborne). I left RPS in July 2020, and after a brief stint at WhatCulture writing list articles, I became a Staff Writer at PCGamesN. My probation period also saw me published in The Loadout where I covered esports news and wrote guides on the Crown Tundra expansion for Pokemon Sword and Shield, and Pocket Tactics, where I covered some game reviews such as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Empire of Sin, and Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, refreshed existing guides, and wrote opinion pieces on Monster Hunter Rise and Pokemon Go. I still write for both outlets from time to time. Since joining full time at PCGamesN, I have so far covered Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, some Genshin Impact, Minecraft, and CoD: Warzone, and Resident Evil Village for guides. I've also written features for games such as Monster Hunter Stories 2, The Ascent, Far Cry 6, Lemnis Gate, It Takes Two, and Diablo 2 Resurrected. I have several reviews on the site as well. Since 2024, I've gone freelance and have contributed to outlets such as Pocket Tactics, Dot Esports, Operation Sports, and Game Rant for guides, reviews, and retrospective reviews for older games to promote SEO lists.
