David Hutt is a British freelance political journalist and columnist based between the Czech Republic and the UK, covering European politics and foreign affairs, EU-Asia relations and Southeast Asian politics. He is Southeast Asia Columnist for the Diplomat, a columnist and correspondent for Asia Times, contributing editor at The Geopolitics. He is also a consultant at the Economist Intelligence Unit. His articles and opinion pieces have appeared in the Foreign Policy, Nikkei Asian Review, South China Morning Post, DW, Forbes, EuroNews, the EUObserver, World Politics Review, and others. His essays have appeared in the Times Literary Supplement, Reaction:Life, Spiked, and The Article. He has written for a number of academic publications and think-tanks, including lnternationale Politik Quarterly, Royal United Services Institute, Limes Italian Review of Geopolitics, the EU-Asia Centre, Journal of Greater Mekong Studies.
