Biography

Dianne Bortoletto is a freelance food, travel, lifestyle and motorsport writer based in Perth, and she spends as much time as she can in Margaret River, Western Australia and in Italy. Freelance writing stemmed from Di's passion for storytelling and the written form, writing about the things she love – adventures, experiences, food and travel. Dianne has had bylines in Good Food, The Age, OUTthere magazine (in-flight magazine for AirNorth, Rex, Cobham and Alliance regional airlines), Tales and Trails, Perth Magazine, PRIMOLife, Your Margaret River Region magazine, Broadsheet, Latte magazine (Business Chicks member’s magazine), Luxury Travel magazine, Lightfoot Travel (luxury global travel website), Italianicious magazine, LAN Inflight magazine, as well as in a number of local newspapers. She is a regular contributor to margaretriver.com, FOUND and Australian Regional and Rural News. She has been commissioned to write for Tourism Australia, Tourism Western Australia, Perth Convention Bureau, Experience Perth and Rottnest Island Authority. Dianne is a member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers and the International Food Wine & Travel Writers Association. Never one to stop learning, Dianne completed four years of study at UWA in 2020, graduating with Diploma of Italian Studies with a distinction average, and she can’t wait to put her Italian language studies to use in Italy.... as soon as the world to returns to some kind of normality. In 2021, Di completed two Le Cordon Bleu courses: recipe writing and publishing, and advanced food photography, both with top marks. Di knows her way around the kitchen, wishes she could surf, pretends to keep fit and loves the sound of fast cars. Her other loves include a Greek named Zorba, a Westie named Bella, the Margaret River region and all things Italian. She's an ex-chocoholic and is shamelessly addicted to travel and proper coffee.
