Students from Michigan State University have designed plans, as a project for their education, with input from the general public and neighbors of the fairgrounds. All that is needed now is time and money. Future plan ideas for the new fair property include walking nature trails, primitive camping, open fields for fun, games and picnics, gardens and some new buildings. The Board of Directors and staff are very excited at the thought of being able to expand in the future onto the new property. If you haven't had the chance to visit the Calhoun County Fairgrounds, you might be suprised at all that can be found including historic buildings and special events throughout the year.
