Eelemarni Close-Brown is a proud Githabul woman and journalist based in Sydney, NSW. So far in her early career Eelemarni has worked for IndigenousX, NITV, interned at the Sydney Morning Herald during the Voice Referendum and was the first Junior Indigenous Affairs Reporter at the Australian Associated Press. Currently she is a Scott Trust Cadet at Guardian Australia working to improve her news reporting skills on a range of topics. As a journalist she has a strong desire to tell the stories that shine a spotlight on the everyday experiences of people and feels that feature writing is where her strengths lie.
