Originally a biologist and geneticist (MSc., University of Cambridge, UK), I've followed my long standing blogging activities (since 2007, awarded a grant by the European Society for Evolutionary Biology in 2014 for my science writing) towards professional journalism. I've been employed to cover science, health, among other topics by Gazeta do Povo, a traditional Brazilian newspaper, since 2020—as a freelancer at first, now full time.
