Elisa D'Amico reports for D'Amico Media and EyeOn South Florida on legal tech and electronic dance music and festival scene. As a litigator trained in NY, she spent 15+ years representing victims of online harassment - including sextortion, revenge porn, and other internet-based abuse. She has worked with clients across many industries -- including social media, digital marketing and advertising, PR, media, cannabis, fintech, and hospitality. Elisa is well known for her groundbreaking work co-founding the Cyber Civil Rights Legal Project, a global pro bono project aimed at empowering and providing legal help to individuals whose sexually explicit images are distributed and displayed online. She often writes and speaks about her work and has been interviewed by and appeared in various media outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, MSNBC, and Broadly./VICE on those topics. In addition to working as a media consultant and journalist, Elisa currently operates eLaw Firm, a boutique law firm. She also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, a national nonprofit focused on combatting online harassment and abuse. Among her many accolades, in 2014, Elisa was named both a Miami Herald “20 Under 40” emerging leader and the “HYPE® Miami Difference Maker” by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. In 2015, ALM/Daily Business Review named her the inaugural “Attorney of the Year.” And in 2019, Fordham Law School recognized her with the “Rising Star Award. She also holds a AV® Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell. Elisa has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics & Management from Cornell University and a Juris Doctorate from Fordham Law. She is licensed to practice law in Arizona, California, the District of Columbia, Florida, and New York. While she always fight hard for access to justice and equality for all, Elisa also firmly believes in self-care, which for her includes fitness, mental health, and the arts. Her husband and her 3 boys are her life. And her love for music is deep-rooted in her family —- in fact it is a part of her DNA.
