Biography
With over a decade in the media industry, Emmanuel Daraloye has seamlessly transversed Nigeria print and broadcast media. He wrote his first article in 2010, two years later, he started sharing his articles on Facebook and other mediums. In his first year (2015) at the University, he co-founded an online Newspaper which revolutionized information dissemination within the campus. Between year 2015 to 2019, he presented, co-presented programme on Arbico FM, Eki 100.9 FM (Ondo town) and King Sunny Ade Owned Music and Culture Radio, M&C, 106.5 FM (Ondo town). Since 2020, Emmanuel Daraloye has been fully documenting Afrobeats story via album reviews, interviews and articles. At the last count, he has written more than 1,000 album reviews. He's Africa’s Most Prolific Freelance Music Critic. Between June to July 2020, he was the music editor for MusicNolly. His Op-ed, comments, and views have appeared/ featured in Sahara Reporters, Cable News, Guardian Newspaper, Punch Newspaper, Tribune Newspaper, Legit, Modern Ghana, The Lagos Review, Vanguard Newspaper, Not Just Ok, and many more. At the end of the exercise which ended on March 31, 2025, participants were awarded certificates. He is currently writing Afrobeats Best 1,000 albums.
