Biography

Eric Bazail-Eimil is a journalist and a senior in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University majoring in Regional and Comparative Studies. Originally from South Florida, Eric lives in Washington and currently works for the Wall Street Journal as their Politics Reporting Intern, covering Congress. Before that, Eric worked at NBC News as an intern for Meet the Press and was the Summer 2022 Burton C. Gray Memorial Editorial Intern at Reason, the libertarian magazine dedicated to free markets and free minds. Eric was also named a Campus Semifinalist for the Pulitzer Prize Center Reporting Fellowship 2022 Grant. He writes, comments, and reports on Latin America and the Caribbean, Florida, immigration, and the role of faith actors in international and domestic politics. Eric was also a member of the Building Bridges Initiative that presented to Pope Francis in February 2022 as part of the Synod on Synodality. On campus, Eric is the 2022-2023 Co-Chair of GUPolitics’ Student Advisory Board and has served in various roles at campus publications including The Hoya and On the Record, GUPolitics' newsblog.
