Biography

Esther Honig has worked as a reporter across the Midwest, in Colorado and internationally in Mexico. A fluent Spanish-speaker, she works primarily in audio to tell stories about agriculture, U.S. immigration policy and rural issues. Her work has been featured by dozens of outlets, including NPR, PRI The World, Marketplace, Mother Jones Magazine, and Latino USA. Her investigation with Ted Genoways into the outbreaks of COVID-19 at JBS meatpacking plants was cited in a 2020, US Senate investigation. She has one first place in KCRW's radio race and was named best broadcast reporter in Ohio by the Associated Press. When Esther was 24 she created a photoshop project called Before and After, that examined contemporary beauty standards. The photo series quickly went viral, garnering international attention. It has since been displayed by major museums in the UK, Brazil and Switzerland.
