ARIJ Network

ARIJ Network, or Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism, is a prominent media organization based in Amman, Jordan. Established in 2005, it is dedicated to promoting investigative journalism across 16 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). ARIJ empowers journalists to act as watchdogs, fostering accountability and transparency through fact-based reporting. The organization offers a range of services, including training and mentorship programs for journalists, editors, and fact-checkers. It has trained over 7,000 media professionals since its inception. ARIJ also provides funding and logistical support for investigative projects, facilitating cross-border collaborations among journalists and media outlets. Additionally, it established the Arab Fact Checkers Network in 2020 to enhance fact-checking efforts across the region. ARIJ has supervised the production of nearly 1,000 investigative reports on critical issues such as corruption and human rights. Its mission is to strengthen the investigative journalism ecosystem in the MENA region, ensuring sustainability through training, funding, and advocacy.
