Degrees in Political Science (York U.) & Journalism (Ryerson U.). 20 yr. in civil service (Ministry of Environment, Region of Peel, Toronto Public Health, Ministry of Children and Youth Services). 10 yrs. as communications manager with environmental and First Nations NGOs (Cdn. Environmental Law Association, Mushkegowuk Environmental Research Centre). My journalism career includes a series of stories that appeared in the Toronto Globe and Mail November 20, 1980 to November 25, 1980 based on investigative research with Jane Glassco Concerning homes built on an old radioactive waste dump. In 1981 I was the Public Affairs Reporter for the Brandon Sun newspaper in Brandon, Manitoba. From 1981 to 1987 I worked as the Director of Research and Communications for the Canadian Environmental Law Association. From 1987 to 2000 I worked with the Ontario Ministry of Environment. Region of Peel 2000-02. Toronto Public Health 2003-2006 and did an evaluation of how TPH communicated its messages during SARS. 2006-08 Ministry of Children &Youth Services; 2009 self employed; In 2010 I moved to Timmins, Ontario and worked for the Muskegowuk Environmental Centre til 2012. I also wrote for Mining Life and Explorations and continue to freelance for them.
