Hello, I'm Gary, a freelance journalist and editor. Following 19 years with the Chicago Tribune, I now write for Carbondale's daily newspaper, The Southern Illinoisan. I'm also Asst. Copy Editor and columnist for a monthly national magazine, The NSS News (see caves.org). I've also edited several books (look me up on Amazon) and lots of special projects (like political campaign literature, technical training manuals for Molex and other advertising writing). I'm also an excellent photographer and photo/video editor.
