Popular known as Gilmore Tee, Gilmore Qhawe Khumalo is an award-winning media practitioner, curator, publicist and content creator. He is the Founder & Creative Director of Paper Bag Africa, a content creation, management and public relations establishment headquartered in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He is the Founder & Curator of The PiChani, a PAN African lifestyle and business networking platform that integrates young achievers and leaders from different sectors of influence. Gilmore is a Forbes 30 under 30 Honoree, GQ Best Dressed Man 2020, European Film Festival Zimbabwe Coordinator and Mandela Washington Fellow. He writes for Conde Nasts – GQ South Africa and GLAMOUR Magazine. Gilmore has led a research named I Wear My Culture, on ethnic groups in Zimbabwe, using Fashion and Film to capture findings. The end results of the research are contemporary looks, made by 10 young designers, inspired by the findings, a fashion film and a mini-documentary. From 2021 – 2022, he also spearheaded research on the best practices for digital content creators, with the end product being a digital toolkit for content creators. Both projects were supported by the British Council and National Gallery of Zimbabwe. Since 2017, Gilmore has been working with MTV Staying Alive Foundation through their initiative MTV Shuga in creating awareness amongst young Southern African people on HIV/AIDS and Sexual Reproductive health. Additionally, he has been curating projects that promote livelihoods and sustainability, targeting young people using the creative industry, thus working with the ZITF, British Council, European Union Delegation in Zimbabwe, US Embassy, Higher Life Foundation, Edgars Stores and National Transitional Justice Working Group. Currently, Gilmore is a Brand Ambassador for FastJet, Jameson Irish Whiskey and Food Lovers Market. In all he does, he strongly believes in creating a global sustainable creative industry.
